i know it was unnecesary to make a new topic but i f*cked up the other one so yeah thats why...

 -Sonic Project Twisted-

The Plot:

  2. Hidden Reef Zone (A Hybrid between Lava reef and Hidden Palace)

  3. Hydro Plant zone  (A Hybrid between Hydrocity and Chemical Plant)

  4. Sparkling Slider Zone (This one is actually out of them all pretty original wh assets from sonic crackers and the beta version of Casino Night Zone)

  5. Mushroom Wood Zone  (A Hybrid between Mushroom Hill and Wood Zone)

  6. Launch egg  (A hybrid between Launch Base and the Death Egg)

  7. Tech Egg zone (Eggman's New Lab, this is one of the only stages with 3 Acts)

  • Currently: EHZ = Act 1 is Finished, Act 2 is for the most part finished (with only the boss missing)

This has like... no work put into it yet tbh.

It's just a few graphic edits and the emerald hill zone remake from the super ring engine.

You might as well just upload SRE 3.5 and people have the same experience + a extra act.

you could have made atleast one or another map change to ehz 1,like making parts that reference angel island zone or palmtree panic, i hope for act 2 being different

I can't really say much for this demo as like what Shiro said this is just the Super Ring remake of Emerald Hill Zone (to be honest the remake in the SRE wasn't really that good in the first place) but there were a few things I noticed while playing this that looked off to me.

First being Knuckles's head appearing on the 1up monitors despite me playing as Sonic in the "Mod Gen" skin

6050db70806624cfe5da8cb24b5fc38a.png

Second thing being that when I jump with the Mod Gen skin the game pauses for a minute before Sonic jumps, I'm assuming the voice clips are being loaded directly inside the exe but I think they should have been preloaded before the game runs to prevent this from happening.

The third being the white on the SEGA logo. It's pretty clear from looking at this that the Sega animation was made for a white background and I don't know why it was changed to black.

The last thing being....this:

I'm pretty sure those are VAdaPEGA's sprites from S1 Boomed I'm seeing here. Did you get permission to use his sprites or something? If you didn't then I don't think it's a good idea to use them in your fan game if you want to prevent getting into trouble for stealing sprites. We've had this happen before on the forums with the Sonic Overture sprites and I don't think anyone here wants another case like this.

That's all I can say about this demo. There's nothing much in here for me to give thoughts on as I can tell that this is a very early tech demo after the switch to the Super Ring Engine.

@Violet Thats techinally true since this an very early w.i.p but im trying to add and change everything to make it look distinct from the SRE, as for right now tho.. i've finished Act 2 and might even update the link today (if the boss is added)

Well, the last part on what you said is actually true, this is an early tech demo, and the 2nd Act is now finished. (I mean, if the other skins that arent playable didnt make it obvious enough)

I released it only with Act 1 Due to time constrains and Act 2 Wasnt finshed when i released it. But about Mod.Gen's Voice clip, because that just works fine atleast on my pc

Since they are actually mixed with the jumping sound making the illusion that two seperate audio files are loaded at the same time.

And for Boom, i want'ed to scrap him for longer but i guess if i dont want trouble then i'll replace him with someone i originally want'ed to add

And about the Sega Logo and Icon of Knuckles:

Forgot to change the icon too mod.gen's version and i made the sega logo black to give it more an feel of the modern sega logo, and i was a bit too lazy to port the 32x sega sprites

Wat

The only new things are the sonic skins, sega logo and menu. And titlescreen. Thats it. EHZ act 1 is just from SRE. And the char select menu is from the SRE+.

Ok. this fan game shows it can have potential but theres a few other nitpicks that I want to say about this that seem like they haven't been said b4.

The first thing I noticed is that the collision of the player and the floor seems a little too low in my opinion (makes it look like there in the floor).

Another nitpick that I see is that it seems as if its too easy for the characters to get into their faster animation, maybe theres a way to make a speed cap but that it can be broken if the player goes down a steep slope that gives them more momentum.

The last nitpick I have is that I don't get why both mod gen and classic sonic have the peelout (yes the animation is different for when they charge it up but its still the same move) I mean yes, mod gen has the homing attack to make him different from classic sonic but I feel like the peelout should only go to classic sonic

Now I think ill say a bug that I see.

The first thing I noticed is that the mod gen sonic chooses at random times to homing attack and sometimes after a homing attack, he kinda just keeps rolling for a bit.

Oh yea, also id recommend looking up ways to have controller support so people like me can use a controller to play instead of the keyboard

Hey guys. Me and my team ( Team Maximus ) are creating a fan game called sonic fury. Alot of it is still a wip but we are working on it.
The game is being made in the gmate engine and it consists of me, Super tails, Supericee, §haÐØWZfan©, PixelJirachi, Turret 3471, Speed_Blitz69 and illias3000, but we need more people involved.
Here is the specialties we are looking for:
Spriters/ Tileset Designers: we need some people who can design sprites and tilesets for the game.
Voice Actors: We need voice actors for the game to voice each character.
Script editors: the script is being made but it still needs work.
Music composers: these people will be the guys who design the music for the game.
Programmers: there's certain bits that we have trouble programing (don't help that me and super tails are the only programers on the team and we are not experienced at it). (these guys will get access to the engine as the game is being updated, tho do not post versions of this online to the public [ive seen it happen with sonic megamix so im just letting you guys know] and instead just send them back to engine links) (only go for this if you know how to programme in gamemaker [not gamemaker studio] because there will probably be times when one of us turns to someone else in the group and asks a question about how to do certain things)

Here are some images and screenshots of the game:

If you would like to be a part of this, just go to https://discord.gg/MTrV6Mj and post an example of your work onto the #for-newbies part of the group, then this will be analysed by myself and the mods in the group and majority vote will show weather you are going to be helping with development or not (sorry if that sounded rude but i want this game to look awesome when done). If you do join and get accepted, you will get to see screenshots of the game and get updates before anyone else.
Anyway, hope you guys will enjoy the game when its made.
